ANIMALYMPICS
Mio Debnam, Louise Renwick, Karmel Schreyer, Susan Sprengeler, Judith Simanovszky
Illustrated By: Adeline Ko

ANIMALYMPICS will satisfy all children
who are wondering what the Olympics are all about!
Five wonderful storybooks (in a special slipcase box) follow the Tiger, Monkey, Antelope, Ostrich and Panda as they go on their fantastic athletic adventures. The animals work hard to try and make it to the games - and their antics teach us that even if you don't win the medal, perseverance and spirit will always take you places.
Author readings are now being scheduled at schools all over Hong Kong for April to June 2008. To request an ANIMALYMPICS author to visit your child's school please email: sales@havenbooksonline.com

China: Portrait of a People
Tom Carter
In anticipation of the Beijing Olympics, the world's attention shifts to a country it is only now getting to know.
Despite China's economic emergence, its vast geography and its centuries-old cultural history, how
familiar are we with its people?
Despite increased tourism and rampant foreign investment, the cultural distance between China and the West remains a sticking point for many of us. American photojournalist Tom Carter decided to bridge this gap when, armed with his backpack and an Olympus camera, he travelled to all 33 provinces of China and captured the distinct features and lifestyles of the nation's 56 ethnic groups. The images he collected break all steroetypes of the Chinese.
This miniature hardcover book, in two designs, is a stunning visual tribute to the People's Republic of China, in all its human glory. For a preview, click here.
